tags;kish notes;--- ooc;lycans ftw?! All he could see was a vast stretch of desert, golden sand hills rolling on and on as far as his icy eyes could see. He'd heard that somewhere around here dragons eggs could be found, and inside one of them could be a friend for life. Caine wasn't so sure he believed that, dragons in stories were monsters, they burned towns and stole the princess. Sure, stories weren't always correct, but they had been right about him. Lycans - werewolves - were monsters in stories, they were angry and dangerous. He was both. He had hurt his own father. Shaking his head and running a tanned hand through his light hair, the man sighed, walking on into the desert, before breaking into a run.
He was so used to morphing these days, that he barely noticed when he did sometimes, the only reminded now, was that he was on four legs, not two feet. As a wolf, Caine was big, like a horse and stocky on four powerful legs that ended in sharp claws. His body was dusty tan that melted seamlessly into the sand of the desert. The only reminder that he was who he was were his eyes that stayed the same color in any form. He sighed, running faster, pushing himself over the sand, kicking it up in waves behind him. He slowed to a trot when he was far from the town, deep in the heart of the so called hatching grounds.
Shaking the sand from his coat, Caine moved to a disturbance in the soft ripples of sand. Rocks were his first thought, rocks like gems. They were rainbows caught in a mineral form. He sat back, ice gray eyes on the nest of rocks. Nest....nest? Nest..OH NEST! If Caine had been in his human form, he would have laughed at his stupidity. These were not rocks...nor gems. The legends had been true to their promise. What was before him was a nest of Dragon eggs, or something like it. Looking cautiously around, the wolf moved closer, hoping the mother was nowhere near, wondering deeply if he could truly bond with one. Surely no dragon would want to bond with a monster such as himself. For what seemed like the millionth time in such a short while, Caine heaved a heavy sigh and plopped down in the sand, head on his crossed front paws, tail wagging lazily against the hot sand. His eyes were trained on the nest.
It couldn't hurt to just try...

The curling winds blew the sands from a particular clutch of soft colored eggs. The stillness in the air made the tension just the more desparate. For weeks the eggs had laid still in their confines empty mindedly awhaiting the arrival of the ones they would spend the rest of their lives with. And on this very day, the awakening of an Earth dragon had come. The first of the season. Slowly, as its Bonded drew nearer to it, its mental abilities skyrocketed, and it began to feel that it needed to move. Fast. Unsure of itself, the young dragonette tossed its self aroun within its shell, thrashing and nudging the interior walls. On the outside, the shell was rather plain with smoot brown sides and bright green splashes. It almost glew under the watchful rays of ribbony sunlight. But the dragon within it was anything but plain.
Crack. the shell began breaking up near her powerful back feet, and she almost smiled. Stopping inquisitively to think things through, the hatchling began throwing the whole of her body around untill at last she burst out. Sending shattering shell everywhere in her wake. With a Medium sized body, the Earth colored girl would make a great flyer. Being a Winchester, she was capable of quick speeds.
When she shook the loose debris from herself, large, round, green oculus looked up at the wolf looming suddenly before her. She jumped back and stared. He looked rather sad for a handsome boy... and the little hatchling had to frown. Was he worried? "A-are you unhappy? Do you not like me?" almost in a pathetic way, her long tail dropped and she cowered in the sand.

tags;--- notes;thank you kish, she's amazing ooc;<3 He felt it pulling him toward the nest, so he stood, towering over the the eggs, ice eyes searching for the one that was calling to him. Caine couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe that a dragon would actually want him. /he saw a brown and green egg rock as though propelled from the inside. Something told him that that was the one for him. Moving closer, he watched it observantly, watched as the creature inside broke free. She was beautiful. Wait? She, how on earth did he know his dragon was a she?
Shaking his sandy head, Caine sat back, allowing the green and brown baby dragon some room to move. The towering wolf looked down at the reptile before he trotted off a way to morph back into his human form - a form clothed in jeans and barefooted on the sand. Then the little dragon did something that made him all of the sudden overwhelmingly sad. She cowered down and asked if he didn't like her. No, no, No! I love you, I just...i can't believe you'd want...a monster like me. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Caine wondered about the telepathy thing, but he knew the dragon had heard him, because she perked up and slithered over to him, curling up in his lap.
He patted the Winchester's head, wondering how he got so lucky to get such a fast and agile and beautiful dragon as his Bonded. How do you like the name Safina? He asked her aloud. The little dragon girl looked up at him happy, nudging his face with her cool, scaly head. I love it! Caine smiled, picking Safina up and standing, shaking sand off his pants. Safina crawled up to stand with her back feet on his shoulders and her front feet on the top of his head. He grinned. I have a feeling that this is the start of something great, am I right, Saf? The dragon purred softly at the nickname. You are. She was just happy to have found someone who loved her.
